Gallery: Maggies’ culture crawl

I had the privilege on Friday night of taking photographs of Maggie’s Culture Crawl in Oxford – Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it through the whole event, but I was at the start, and managed to “pop in” at a couple of points early in the route to see how things were progressing.

From what I saw the walkers should have had an amazing time on their 8 mile stroll through Oxford. The start was on the outskirts of Oxford, so after a short walk everyone boarded a boat, and complete with pirates singing sea shanties, sailed into the city centre. From there it was an evening full of culture, including visits to the Story Museum, the Castle Unlocked, the arts centre OVADA and Magdalen College, with added entertainment to keep spirits up.

The people I met – walkers and volunteers – were lovely people. Young and old, men and women, and even a canine companion, they were all friendly and keen to do their bit to help this good cause. I’d like to thank each of them for sharing their evening with me and giving smiles for the camera. I’m just sorry I couldn’t come to see you at the finish.

I’ve put the best photos in the gallery below. If you’d like prints of any of them then please get in touch using the contact form found after the photos. If you leave a name and email address, with a message saying which image(s) you’d like, eg MCC12, I’ll then get in touch to arrange payment and delivery. A 6 x 4 inch print (better quality than shown here, and with no watermark) will be £5, with half of that going to Maggie’s.
