The early bird…

I was up early yesterday, at 5.15 am, left the house at 5.30 and drove to a neighbouring village where I’d spotted a fantastic display of poppies. I admit it was a bit ouchy getting up so early, but it was so, so worth it. You can imagine that it was very peaceful at that time of day, so I was able to drink in the golden light and quiet. I was able to walk right along the edge of the field, and at one point I followed an existing pathway a few steps into the field, but taking care not to trample on any more of the flowers. I hope you like these photos – my favourites from the shoot.
